Marvellous Mallorca – A Fortnight of Fun

The 2018 ACC Mallorca Spring Camp is definitely in the running for being one of our best ever camps. A mix of weather meant everybody was challenged out on the bikes on most days, however, as always, no one was ever left behind and all abilities, ages and levels of cyclists were catered for! Andy Cook Cycling prides itself on providing truly inclusive camps for everyone, from top-level athletes to beginners, and everyone in between.

We had a large number of new clients this year, and a high percentage of women joined us. One really brilliant aspect of the 2018 camp in particular was the way many of our new clients grew in confidence over the course of the week. Kirsty, our superb airport meet-and-greeter, said“When I picked a lot of the new clients up, they were nervous, quiet and worried that they’d be left behind on rides/be lonely/not make any friends/feel out of place. But every single one of these people, when I took them back to the airport, had entirely transformed into confident cyclists, tired and happy from their days of riding and evenings of having fun with all the new people they’d met. All of them said they’d be back!”

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us this March for making it a really special two weeks. We’re extremely grateful to our brilliant team of Ride Leaders – Simon, Mark, Paul, Richard, Ian, Tony, Dave, and the other staff who make this camp work – Kirsty for getting everyone to and from the airport in good time, and Lydia for her wonderful support out on the road. We’d also like to thank PortBlue Club Pollentia Resort and Spa for once again providing the perfect base, High5 Sports Nutrition for their awesome support to all the camp participants, Verve Inforcranks for their valued input at the evening talks and throughout the two weeks and to Continental Tyres for their continued support to Andy Cook Cycling.

Thank you Andy Cook Cycling for a fabulous cycling camp in beautiful Mallorca: a superb start to the season. Wonderful guides, scenic routes, excellence climbs & fast descents…lots and lots of interesting and fun people. Outstanding organisation, something for everyone…and your personal touch. AP

Fantastic week riding with my mates in beautiful surroundings, great weather, being pushed to the absolute limit by one of the UK’s time-trialing legends. It doesn’t get any better. Thank you Andy Cook and the whole team at Andy Cook Cycling. DS

Thanks for everything! Excellent time as usual. MB

Thank you and the rest of the team (Richard and Paul – and you Andy! – on the riding side and you Lydia for all the day to day help and encouragement on the road and Kirsty for picking me up). It was a great trip – really enjoyed it. Super well organised as ever (beforehand and while we we here) and really great atmosphere on and off the bike. MB

Thanks Andy Cook for an amazing week! JT

As always we had a huge range of rider abilities and objectives but our Bike Camps are known for being inclusive not exclusive. You only have to love riding a bike in fantastic scenery to enjoy the two weeks in Mallorca. Our ride leaders set the perfect pace for whichever group they are looking after and each day has its own challenges from the long mountain rides to recovery rides with plenty of cafe stops.
