Want some ideas for cycling events?

Challenge rides can be a single day out for your team or a multi-day cycling events based from a single location or travelling between overnight stops. We have the experience and resouces to manage as many people as you like.

In the past this has included single person challenges such as celebrities fundraising for Children in Need to thousands of riders riding from Lands End to John O’Groats. You could use the ride as a way of bringing your people together in a joint goal for achievement or fund raising, or why not combine to two objectives.

We have experience of delivering every type of road ride you can think of. In terms of distance it’s whatever you think your team can achieve but you would be surprised at how far people can go when they work as a team and learn how to ride together as one efficient group. Our ride leaders are very experienced road cyclists and love working with groups of all abilities to help them get the best out of their ride.

Routes are carefully planned and a full reconnoiter carried out by our Ride Director so that we get a mix of flat and hilly terrain that is safe and fun for participants.

Single day rides can be organised from point to point or in a circuit, perhaps you have a location that means something to your organisation. We will advise on routes that are safe, challenging and above all fun from our years of planning experience.

Multiple day rides can follow a route across country with overnight stops and accommodation. We can also organise a single base with rides taking different circular routes each day.

International experience is included. Although many of our clients are based in the UK our ride routes are not limited by borders. We have delivered corporate and charity rides across Europe including fantastic locations such as Mallorca, The Alps and the Pyrenees.

Andy and Jacqui Cook have ridden the velodrome since they were kids. They are both British Cycling acredited coaches. We can also call on a network of other coaches and experts so that we can provide any size of Velodrome event for your company or organisation.

If you have never ridden on a Velodrome we can provide starter sessions with everything your staff need from bikes and helmets to coaching and refreshments. If you have never considered the Velodrome as a team day out then we can guarantee you are missing out on a great fun day out.

We are lucky enough in the UK to have some of the best Velodromes in the world spread throughout the country so we can provide sessions close to your location.

Cycle to Work scheme is a UK Government tax exemption initiative introduced in the Finance Act 1999 to promote healthier journeys to work and to reduce environmental pollution. It allows employers to loan cycles and safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit.

Andy Cook Cycling can provide consultancy and practical help to allow you to introduce the scheme to you employees anywhere in the UK.

Administration
We can provide consultancy services to ensure you administer the scheme to the benefit of both the company and staff. We can help with the government registration, purchase of equipment and set up of administration systems.

Training
Once the scheme is in place we can offer practical training and coaching for your employees so that they have a safe and enjoyable ride to work. This element is vital if you want the cost and health benefits to be realised over the long term.
