In April, Andy Cook Cycling took an exclusive group of 20 riders to Mallorca, on a trip based around the legendary Mallorca 312.
The Mallorca 312 is a closed road, mass participation event offering riders the chance to ride either 167km, 225km or 312km around the entire island. 8000 people took part in the ride this year, with famous participants including Alberto Contador,Miguel Indurain, Sean Kelly, Oscar Freire, Oscar Pereiro and Ivan Basso. Since 2010, this Gran Fondo has covered a total of 2,115,200 kilometres – the equivalent of the Mallorca 312’s peloton riding around the world 52 times. It’s truly one of the best events of its kind, and the atmosphere on the island over the whole weekend is very special.
Andy Cook Cycling provided a safe and reassuring team of staff to guide participants through the melee of the registration village, took them on the perfect warm-up rides, and looked after them at the fantastic Club Pollentia Resort and Spa – where the clients received the usual special attention and welcome exclusive to Andy Cook Cycling.
All the Andy Cook Cycling riders had a fantastic time over the four days, supported on the road by Andy and Mark their ride leaders, as well as Dave and Liz in the support van, who were on hand during the event to provide private pit stops and extra mechanical help where necessary.
Here’s what some of the clients had to say about the trip:
We hope to be back at the 312 in 2020 for another epic weekend of cycling! Watch this space for more details on booking.
