Last month, the UN General Assembly announced that Sunday 3rd June will be the official World Bicycle Day

What better way to celebrate that by joining Andy Cook Cycling for our Severn Bridge Sportive and Castle Combe Family Cycling Day? If you haven’t already entered our popular, fully-supported ride through some of this area’s most beautiful countryside then make sure you do so now!

  • Excellent signage
  • Choice of beautiful routes (you can decide as you go) – either 65 or 100 miles
  • Support vehicle and en-route mechanic
  • Well-stocked feed stations with real food plus tea and coffee
  • High5 nutrition for all participants
  • Sign-on, start and finish at the historic Castle Combe Circuit
  • Event photographer
  • Family-friendly – meet your family at the end at the Castle Combe Family Cycling Day and ride to the finish line with them!

If the Sportive isn’t your thing, why not dust off those old bikes in the shed and bring the kids, the grandparents, the cousins and the friends along to our Family Cycling Day from 11-4pm on June 3rd. There’s loads on offer for all ages and abilities:

  • Ride round the safe, flat and smooth 1.85 mile circuit
  • Take part in our Lap Challenge
  • Have a go at Go-Ride skills sessions and Strider balance bikes for toddlers
  • See and experience the Tarmac Lorry and its blind spot Mirror Mat, Wiltshire Police’s Close Pass Initiative and our local traffic officer – all there to help encourage road safety for all
  • Have fun watching and having a go on the special Cargo Bikes from Really Useful Bikes
  • Meet the awesome team from our charity partners the National Autistic Society on their stalls and activities and experience their Sensory Bus
  • Walk round our expo area and see if you can find a bargain
  • Have a picnic, buy an ice cream, sip a coffee or enjoy lunch at the Tavern

In our spare time, we voluntarily organise and run races in our capacity as Chippenham Wheelers club members. These are not Andy Cook Cycling events, but you will see a lot of #teamacc helping out. We do it for the love of the sport, and to see what we love best - lots of people of all ages riding their bikes with smiles on their faces. This year’s #easterclassic was a fab day out at Castle Combe in the sunshine, and it was awesome seeing so many people out racing! 📸 Graham Lacey #castlecombeeasterclassic #goodfridayracing #chippenhamwheelersTo celebrate the launch of their mini but mighty tasty Energy Gummies, @high5sportsnutrition are giving 20 people the chance to win a HIGH5 Energy Gummies Bundle. Have you tried them? Enter now to win (copy and paste: https://highfive.co.uk/win/)☁️ It was a tad cold and grey for the first night of Castle Combe Tuesday Night cycling, but over 100 people came up for a ride (and a coffee from Shaun!) #trafficfreetraining #carfreecycling #everyonewelcome #andycookcycling #tuesdaynightcycling #castlecombecycling #castlecombecircuit @rich.lewton.photography @castlecombecircuituk @alecycling.uk👀 The 10th annual Severn Bridge Alè Sportive is now only 8 weeks away! A huge supporter of the Andy Cook Cycling team and our Mallorca Bike Camps, and most importantly, a great friend to many of us here. We are sure he is smiling down at us as we pedal around the island today.
