Our ever-popular Severn Bridge Sportive will be taking place on Sunday 27th August 2017. Entries are still open – but they are going fast!
The ride starts and finishes at the historic Castle Combe Motor Racing Circuit in Wiltshire, where the Castle Combe Family Cycling Day will also be taking place from during the day.
The ride itself is spectacular – journey along a choice of two routes (65 miles or 102 miles, approx) through some of the best countryside, prettiest roads and picturesque places the area has to offer.
Entry is only £29 and for that, participants can enjoy the high-standard of organisation and rider support that they are used to with Andy Cook Cycling: excellent route signage, reliable chip timing, hot drinks and real food, plus High5 sports nutrition at feed stations, en-route mechanical and medical support and a large, safe, well-facilitated base at Castle Combe – where pasta bake and tea will be served at the finish!
65 miles is the perfect distance for those entrants who have recently started (or re-started) cycling and want to attempt their first long cycle, and is also a great length of ride for serious cyclists coming to the end of the road season, when hard training isn’t top priority but an enjoyable ride in summer weather is very welcome. For more of a challenge the Sportive also offers a 102 mile route and riders don’t have to choose which option they’d like to take prior to the event – they can simply decide along the way.
The Severn Bridge Sportive is a well-established and highly-acclaimed event in the UK Sportive calendar, so you won’t want to miss out.
